Disclosure to associated organizations on delinquency or suspected misuse
If your account becomes delinquent after notice, or where reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, unauthorized card use, toll evasion, card recovery, or legal compliance, JapanETCcard may provide limited personal data to a verified organization officially associated with you. Recipient categories: your identified military command or installation office, United States Forces Japan or a subordinate office, an embassy or consular office, your sponsor, employer, government or contracting organization, an organizational account administrator, a relevant road operator, legal counsel, an authorized collection provider, or a court, law-enforcement body, or other competent authority. Information categories: your name, account reference, verified contact information, identified organization, vehicle plate and description, masked ETC card reference, unpaid amount, invoice and due dates, delinquency duration, prior notice history, suspension status, and card return or destruction status. Purposes: contacting you, recovering a card, preventing misuse, confirming sponsorship/organization information, collecting amounts due, investigating suspected fraud or misuse, pursuing lawful remedies, and legal compliance. Triggers: delinquency after the notice procedure, or suspected fraud/misuse. Foreign recipients: where a recipient is outside Japan, we provide the additional information and obtain the additional consent required by law before disclosing, unless a lawful exception applies. Recordkeeping: we keep an audit record of each disclosure (date, recipient, purpose, data categories, basis, and authorizing action). We do not disclose full payment-card numbers, passwords, OTP codes, complete identity or vehicle-document images, unrelated toll history, medical information, or other unrelated personal data, and we do not make public 'blacklists' or disclose to family members, coworkers, or unrelated supervisors.
