Family Vehicle List

A short, private list of the vehicles in your household so every ETC trip gets labelled with the right vehicle in your daily / weekly / monthly receipt.

1 · How it starts

The problem it solves

Even with a single primary card, the same ETC card can ride in multiple household vehicles. Without labels, every trip looks anonymous and reimbursement / household budgeting becomes a guessing game.

How it works

It runs on a clean, simple cycle.

1

Add each household vehicle once — plate digits, name, vehicle type.

2

Each trip on the daily / weekly / monthly receipt picks the closest matching vehicle.

3

Off-list trips are flagged 'needs review' — never auto-blocked.

4

Edit, rename, or remove vehicles anytime from the dashboard.

Who uses it

Same technology, three use cases.

Personal

A household with husband, wife, and a college-age daughter sees each trip tagged correctly in every weekly summary.

Available on the JapanETCcard ↔ Japan Toll Receipts bridge.

Business

A small business with 2-3 personal/business mixed vehicles uses the list to separate work tolls from family tolls.

Gov & Military

Not applicable for government / military fleets — see the full Authorized Vehicle Registry instead.

Government / Military features open through the JapanETCcard bridge case-by-case.

FAQ

Common questions

What if the same plate digits match two vehicles?

We flag the trip as 'needs review' and ask you to confirm. We never auto-pick when ambiguous.

Can teens see their own trips?

Linked sub-accounts can be granted view-only access to their own trips from the primary holder's dashboard.

Is this the same as the Authorized Vehicle Registry?

Family Vehicle List is the simplified personal version. The full Authorized Vehicle Registry adds business workflows like exception queues and audit exports.

Auto-enrolled for every JapanETCcard member.

This feature is part of the 1-year Premium trial that activates automatically for every JapanETCcard membership — up to 10 ETC cards per primary account. Connect MEISAI, schedule reports, and manage your plan inside the customer dashboard.

¥300/month grandfathered pricing is exclusive to JapanETCcard members — never offered to direct Japan Toll Receipts customers.
